Carli Lloyd is an American soccer player, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time FIFA Player of the Year. She went to Rutgers University, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. That same year she joined the United States Women’s National Team. In 2016, she detailed her journey in a book, When Nobody Was Watching: My Hard-Fought Journey to the Top of the Soccer World, which went on to be a New York Times best selling memoir. She was also named Member and co-Chair of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition by President Barack Obama in 2016.
